Album available for purchase. And you know, Thursday. It’s on!

So we’re fast approaching the BIG CD release party at Glasslands. The album looks great, complete with amazing artwork by Ryan Whittier Hale and sleek Digipak packaging. Don’t forget you get a free copy of the disc if you can make it out to Glasslands Thursday.

Also, the album is available through our good friends over at Dive Records. Get on over there and order a copy. Why would you do that though when you can get a free one Thursday? We’ll see ya then.

The SpaceLab

It appears that TBMS has been picked up by Spacelab Radio. If anyone out there feels so inclined, we would greatly appreciate giving a positive “thumbs up” if ever you hear any tracks from the new record getting a spin.

Also, feel free to hit up our Last.FM page for full-length previews of the upcoming album. We actually get 0.00000345308 cents per on-demand listens. Every little bit helps in these hard economic times, and we want to tour one of these days which is somewhat hard to do when you’re independent as fuck like us. Some of us can barely pay rent and some of us don’t even have places to pay rent (I shit you not). We appreciate any and all support in our endeavors!

year end review

The last night of 2008 was spent in good company hussling about in Brooklyn. The Too Shy Oh Nine party was a success overall, but the presence of our unadulterated percussion section woke the sleeping dragons that dwell above the Stain bar. We optted not to play so that the peace might be kept and the party might proceed. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to catch the Galt Line (who were as sweet as their melodies) but we did get to see Gillian Grassie’s cletic harp playing.

Gillian Grassie

Gillian kindly helped us move our equipment over to the second venue of the evening which was a loft apartment over on Moore St. called Retox. A good space for a show despite the lackluster PA which converted our lowend into a continual pulse that seemed to only cease during the quieter parts of our set. This show was also the first show for our new comrads (no pun intended), Conrad Burnham and Bethany Carder, who have begun to add their own musical contributions to our little project and will do so on our next record.
